The Korean War has never been forgotten.
A gathering for Koreans to grieve, reflect, and remember 75 years of the ongoing Korean War.
75 years ago today, the civil war on the Korean Peninsula escalated into what we now call the Korean War, but what is more accurately the Korean Genocide.
The war is still not over. The country and its people still live divided. The physical, psychological, mental, and emotional impacts of the war have been massive, and they continue to reverberate through the lives of the Korean people and throughout our country’s foundation. The Korean War has never been forgotten.
The Korean War has never been forgotten.
Koreans and members of the Korean Diaspora, join me today to gather, grieve, and remember, the ongoing 한국 전쟁, the Korean War. Let’s reflect upon how this war impacted our ancestors, how it has impacted our parents, how it impacts us, and how it will continue to impact all the generations to come.
I will be holding a gathering for us today, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm EST via Google Meet. I will be creating a safe space for us to share stories with each other about the ways the Korean War has impacted our lives, the ways the Korean War continues to impact the lives of the Korean people, and the stories we heard or didn’t hear about the Korean War.
Today is a day to grieve.
Today is a day to remember.
Register on Luma, and share this newsletter with your Korean friends.
With love,
