Asian American Art Club: What we're doing in June 🌼

Our June calendar is live for everyone!

I have some exciting announcements for June! ✨

① Asian American Art Club is hosting our first Potluck Show + Tell! It’s happening on Friday, June 6, from 6 to 9 pm, in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.

② In June, I will be hosting virtual club meetings! If you’ve been wanting to join, but you don’t live in New York City, now you can be a part of our community.

③ Our Whatsapp community chat is available to join for all Asian American artists! If you want to be added, send me an email and I’ll send you an invitation.

What’s happening at our Potluck Show + Tell:

This Friday, artists are invited to bring their favorite dish to share, and an art piece to show + tell. Art pieces can be complete or in progress — music, dance, drawing, poetry, theater, film, photography, etc. Each artist has 5 minutes to share their work with an engaging and supportive audience. Then we’ll share a potluck meal together!

Here’s what to expect:

✦ A cozy potluck dinner in a Brooklyn apartment — rice + kimchi provided!
✦ 5-minute presentations by artists sharing works-in-progress or completed pieces
✦ An opportunity for Asian American artists to receive encouragement, be inspired, and grow in community together

Here’s the ​​schedule:

Arrival: 6:00 pm
Show & Tell: 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Dinner: 7:30 - 8:30 pm
Conclusion: 9:00 pm

What’s happening at our Club Meetings:

Each week, artists are invited to bring a creative project they're working on — to share, ask questions, and receive feedback. Bring your ideas, projects, thoughts, questions, struggles, and wins of the week! All mediums and skill levels are welcome.

This month, club meetings will take place every Wednesday, from 12 to 1 pm, on Google Meet.

You can sign up to become a club member, or you can register to attend our meetings individually.
